Nu ART's SEDER Art Project in SoCal

For more than a decade the Jewish Federation, the Jewish Artists Initiative (JAI), the Skirball Cultural Center and others have worked to foster Jewish cultural experiences for residents of Los Angeles. Building on these efforts Nu ART Projects creates a way to expand this conversation reaching new audiences and engaging long time participants in innovate ways.

Current project: SEDER Art.

A meal-based initiative committed to creating a path for rethinking
how contemporary Jewish art and culture is financed and experienced communally.

Please join Anne Hromadka, Daniella Gold, Kim Newstadt, Will Deutsch and Jessica Shokiran, Director of A Space Gallery, for SEDER...

@ SPACE A GALLERY
3215 Beverly Blvd | LA, CA | 90057
There is plenty of street parking on Beverly after 6pm. Please read all street signs.

*This meal-based initiative allows individuals from the community
to become patrons of local Jewish artists. In exchange for a modest
cash donation ($18) guests enjoy a vegetarian locally sourced
dinner and they get a ballot. During the dinner, artists who've
submitted project proposals will make brief presentations. At the
end of the dinner, all guests vote on the project they like the best.
The artist whose proposal receives the most votes gets the donation money collected at the door.

ALSO.........THE FIRST EVER SEDER POP UP JUDAICA SHOP!

Founder / Director Anne Hromadka:
"I have witnessed first hand the sense of pride that comes from positive moments of cultural expression working in Los Angeles for the past six years. I began my career directing a contemporary art gallery in the Culver City Arts District. Currently, I am an independent art consultant for Hebrew Union College-Los Angeles and I am the Program Director for the Jewish Artists Initiative (JAI), a regional nonprofit focused on supporting and advancing Jewish visual and performance artists. My position with these organizations taught me a great deal about the powerful effect that arts and culture have on members of the Jewish community.

These experiences, combined with my graduate work in
Public Art Studies from the USC Roski School of Fine Arts and the Hebrew Union College-JIR, LA School for Jewish Non-Profit Management, led me to envision new approaches to Jewish cultural engagement."
